Michael Pisseri has spent his career in classrooms, hallways, and school offices. Not chasing headlines. Not chasing trends. Instead, he has focused on steady improvement, strong teams, and doing right by students. Over time, that approach has made him a respected leader in education.
Pisseri stayed close to home for college. He earned both his bachelor’s degree and master’s degree from Fairfield University in 1997 and 2000. Later, he completed a Certificate of Advanced Study in Leadership from Sacred Heart University in 2006.
Pisseri built his career in public education, eventually serving as both a teacher and a principal in many areas in Fairfield County including Stratford, Westport, Norwalk and Stamford. One of his most defining roles was as principal of Davenport Ridge Elementary School in Stamford, Connecticut.
Today, Pisseri serves as a Social Science Teacher with New York City Public Schools where he also teaches reading interventions to students while analyzing school data. His leadership style remains consistent across roles.
